Tips & FAQ

Which reward mode should you choose for your AdPool?

Fixed price per post, pay per result or a Quest: a decision table with costs, risks and examples to pick the right SaTT reward mode for your goal.

In short

Choose a fixed price per post when you want a predictable number of posts, performance when you only want to pay for views, likes and shares, and a Quest when you want many people to take small actions for a chance to win prizes. All three pay only verified accounts and are checked by the oracle.

What are the three ways to pay creators on SaTT?

Every AdPool uses one reward mode. The mode decides what a creator is paid for.

  • Fixed reward per post: each validated post earns a price set from the creator’s audience tier on that network: followers × your price per 1,000 followers, capped per post.
  • Performance: you set a fixed price per 1,000 views (a CPM), per like and per share, per network. A post earns those prices as it grows, up to an optional cap per post, until the budget runs out.
  • Quest: participants complete actions (follow, comment with a code, create a post, visit a link, quiz…) to earn tickets; a verifiable draw weighted by tickets picks the winners.

Which mode fits which goal?

Your goalBest modeWhy
A known number of posts or UGCFixed per postYou know the price of each post before it is published
Maximum reach for the budgetPerformanceYou pay per 1,000 views, like and share actually measured
Clips of a long videoPerformance (clipping template)Clips are paid per 1,000 views, capped per clip

Giveaway with a fair drawQuestAnyone can recompute the winners

If two goals matter, the link-first create flow can split one campaign budget across layers, for example 60% posts, 25% performance and 15% Quest for a product launch. See Launch your first AdPool.

How do cost and risk differ between modes?

  • Fixed per post: your worst case is known. The form shows “Budget coverage: at most X if every slot is used”. The risk is paying for posts that get few views.
  • Performance: you never pay for views that did not happen. The risk is the budget being used by a few viral posts, so set a Max per post.
  • Quest: the prize total is fixed in advance. Honor actions (self-declared) are worth fewer tickets and are audited on winners.

In every mode, posts are paid only after the 48-hour maturation, and suspicious posts wait for your decision.

What do the modes cost on a $100 budget?

In dollars, the 15% platform fee leaves $85 for creators.

  • Fixed per post, Nano tier at $2.00 per 1,000 followers: a creator with 5,000 followers earns $10 per post, so the $85 pays about 8 such posts.
  • Performance at $1.00 per 1,000 views with a $20 cap per post: a post with 10,000 views earns $10; $85 buys about 85,000 measured views.
  • Quest: for example 5 winners × $17, drawn among all verified entrants.

These numbers are examples, not recommendations. See Budgeting an AdPool for sizing.

Key takeaways

  • Fixed per post = predictable cost per post, priced by audience tier.
  • Performance = pay only for measured views, likes and shares; always set a cap per post.
  • Quest = many small actions, a fixed prize total and a verifiable draw.
  • All modes pay only verified accounts after a 48-hour maturation.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change the reward mode after launch?

No. The mode is part of the pool. To try another mode, close the pool (the unspent budget comes back) and create a new one.

Which mode is best for a first campaign?

Fixed price per post with the recommended tiers is the easiest to reason about: you see the price of every post and the worst case before launch.

Is there still a mode that splits the budget at the end?

The former proportional mode (budget split by engagement score at the end) is retired for new dollar pools. New pools use fixed per post, performance or Quest.
