SaTT glossary — AdPool, oracle, tier and more
The words used across SaTT and its guides, defined once. Every guide links here the first time it uses a term.
- Action verification (auto, proof, honor)
- How a Quest action is checked. Auto: confirmed through an official API or a tracked link. Proof: confirmed by evidence such as a unique comment code or a post link. Honor: self-declared, worth fewer tickets and audited if the participant wins.
- AdPool
- A campaign budget that a brand funds on SaTT. Creators publish posts for it and are paid from it according to the rules the brand set: a fixed price per post, a price per result, or Quest prizes. Unspent budget goes back to the brand when the pool is closed.
- Advertiser
- The brand, company or person who creates and funds an AdPool, a Quest or a gig, and who reviews flagged posts in their own pools.
- Attestation
- An Oracle-signed EIP-712 message stating a post’s verified metrics and the amount a creator may claim. The smart contract checks the signature before paying.
- Audience tier
- A follower range (for example Nano from 1,000, Micro from 10,000) that sets a creator’s price per post in a fixed-reward AdPool. The brand chooses the thresholds and prices per network; the tier is the highest threshold the creator’s real follower count reaches.
- Bio code
- A one-time code such as SATT-7K2Q9 that you paste into the public bio of a social account to prove you control it. The code is valid for 15 minutes and is checked by re-reading the public profile. It is the fallback when the official connection is not available.
- Clipping
- A campaign template where creators (“clippers”) cut a long-form source such as a podcast, stream or video into short clips and post them on TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels or X. Clips are paid per 1,000 views, with a cap per clip.
- CPM (cost per mille)
- The price paid for 1,000 views. In a SaTT performance AdPool the brand sets it per network as the “price per 1,000 views”.
- Creator
- Anyone who publishes on a social network (YouTube, X, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) and takes part in AdPools, Quests or gigs. SaTT has no follower minimum to sign up; some pools set a minimum audience.
- Creator slot
- In a fixed-reward AdPool, the number of different creators each audience tier will pay (0 = unlimited). A creator holds a slot once they have a paid, pending or in-review post in that tier.
- Crypto edition
- The on-chain version of SaTT: AdPools are smart contracts on BNB Smart Chain funded in SaTT or stablecoins, and creators claim with a wallet. During the alpha it runs on BNB Smart Chain Testnet.
- Dollar edition
- The no-crypto version of SaTT: sign in with e-mail or a social network, fund or join AdPools in US dollars and withdraw to a bank account (from $20). During the alpha it runs in test mode with test dollars.
- Duplicate content
- A post URL, caption or near-identical caption already submitted by another creator or to another pool. The first claimant wins; a post already submitted by another creator is blocked.
- Engagement rate
- Interactions (likes, comments, shares) divided by views or followers. SaTT’s fraud checks flag rates that are implausibly high or low for the audience size.
- Escrow
- Funds locked by a smart contract or ledger until agreed conditions are met, so neither side can take them early.
- Fixed reward per post
- A reward mode where each validated post earns a price set from the creator’s audience tier on that network: followers × the price per 1,000 followers of the tier, capped per post. Also called pay per post or bounty.
- Gig
- A fixed-price deal between an advertiser and one creator: a creator’s published offer or an advertiser’s open task. The price is escrowed and released when the work is approved, with a dispute fallback.
- Holdback
- In performance pools, 20% of what a post earned is held until a final check after the pool ends. If the post is still live and its numbers did not collapse, the holdback is paid; otherwise it is forfeited.
- Maturation
- The 48-hour wait after a post’s first measurement before anything is payable. It gives fraud checks time to catch bought views or deleted posts.
- MCP (Model Context Protocol)
- An open protocol that lets AI assistants call tools. SaTT runs a public, read-only MCP server at https://satt.com/api/mcp exposing AdPools, Quests, creators, oracles, receipts and docs.
- Official connection (OAuth)
- Signing in with the social network itself (Google for YouTube, Facebook for Instagram and Facebook Pages, X, TikTok) so the network confirms you own the account. SaTT uses it to prove ownership; it never posts on your behalf.
- Oracle
- The service that measures a post’s public numbers (views, likes, shares) and signs what it measured. On SaTT, a smart contract or the dollar ledger pays only from a signed, verified measurement. The SaTT Oracle and registered independent oracles form the oracle network.
- Oracle network
- The open marketplace of oracles that measure SaTT posts. Each oracle signs a MetricsReport with its own key; the payout signer only signs a claim from the median of a quorum of agreeing reports, and outliers are excluded.
- Performance (pay per result)
- A reward mode where the brand sets fixed prices per 1,000 views, per like and per share, per network. A post earns those prices as it grows, up to an optional cap per post, until the budget runs out.
- Platform fee
- The share of an AdPool budget kept by the protocol: 5% for pools funded in SaTT, 15% for pools funded in other tokens or in dollars. On crypto pools it is deducted when the creator claims; on dollar pools it is taken when the pool is funded.
- Public alpha
- SaTT’s current testing phase: every feature is open to the public, but crypto runs on testnet and dollars run in test mode, so no real money moves.
- Quest
- A pool kind where verified participants complete actions (follow, comment with a code, create a post, visit a link, quiz, e-mail, daily check-in, referral) to earn tickets; winners are picked by a public, verifiable draw weighted by tickets.
- Risk score
- A 0–100 fraud score computed from signals such as impossible ratios, sudden spikes, duplicate captions, shared devices or a very new account. From 30 the pool owner must decide; from 70, or with a blocking flag, rejection is recommended.
- SaTT token
- The SaTT utility token (BEP-20 on BNB Smart Chain). AdPools funded in SaTT pay a 5% platform fee instead of 15%, half of which is burnt.
- Testnet
- A copy of a blockchain whose tokens have no value, used for testing. SaTT’s public alpha uses BNB Smart Chain Testnet with test SaTT (tSaTT), test USDT and test USDC.
- Ticket
- A Quest entry unit. Each completed action is worth a number of tickets; more tickets mean a proportionally higher chance in the draw, up to the Quest’s cap per person.
- Tracking capabilities
- What SaTT can measure and verify on each network today (ownership, views, likes, shares, followers, Quest checks). The app reads this matrix and disables or badges “Limited” or “Coming soon” what cannot be measured.
- Verifiable draw
- The Quest winner selection: entries are frozen into a Merkle root before a future BNB Smart Chain block exists, and that block’s hash seeds the draw. Anyone can recompute the winners in the browser with “Verify the draw”.
- Verified account
- A social account whose ownership SaTT has proven, either by the network’s official sign-in (OAuth) or by a one-time bio code. Only posts from verified accounts can be paid.
- Verified creator
- A badge earned automatically when at least one linked network is verified by its official connection and every network linked to the account is verified (official connection or bio code). It is lost if a network becomes self-declared, expires or is revoked.
- Verified-account receipt
- A signed record attached to an Oracle-signed payout that states which proven social account the payout belongs to. Receipts are public and can be re-checked on the Verifiable payouts page.
- Wallet
- An app such as MetaMask, Trust Wallet or Rabby that holds your crypto keys and signs transactions. In the crypto edition it funds pools and receives earnings; SaTT never holds your keys.
