In short
Start from what one post is worth to you, then size the budget so every creator slot can be paid. On SaTT the fee is 15% in dollars or non-SaTT tokens and 5% in SaTT; a fixed-reward pool’s worst case is slots × highest price × posts per creator, while a performance pool simply pays until the budget runs out.

How much of your budget reaches creators?
The platform fee depends on what funds the pool:
| Funding | Fee | On $100 |
|---|---|---|
| US dollars | 15% | $85 for creators |
| USDT, USDC or other tokens | 15% | 85 for creators |
| SaTT | 5% | 95 for creators |
The dollar minimum is $10 and the default suggestion is $100.
How do you budget a fixed-reward pool?
In a fixed reward per post pool, a creator earns followers × the price per 1,000 followers of their audience tier, capped per post. The recommended presets are:
| Tier | From | Per 1,000 followers |
|---|---|---|
| Nano | 1,000 | $2.00 |
| Micro | 10,000 | $1.80 |
| Mid | 50,000 | $1.60 |
| Macro | 100,000 | $1.40 |
| Mega | 500,000 | $1.20 |
| Celebrity | 1,000,000 | $1.00 |
Worst case = for each tier, slots × cap per post × max posts per creator. The editor shows “Covered by your budget” when the sum fits.
Example: $100 on Instagram, Nano only
$85 net. Nano at $2.00 per 1,000 followers with a $20 cap per post and 1 post per creator: worst case per slot is $20, so 4 slots cost at most $80 and fit. A creator with 6,000 followers earns $12.
How do you budget a performance pool?
In a performance pool you set prices per 1,000 views (CPM), per like and per share, and an optional cap per post. There are no slots: posts earn as they grow until the budget runs out.
Example: $1,000 on YouTube and TikTok
$850 net. At $3 per 1,000 views, the budget pays for about 283,000 views. A post with 10,000 views and 300 likes at $0.02 per like earns $30 + $6 = $36, unless you capped it lower. A cap per post (for example $100) stops one viral post from taking the whole budget.
Which rules of thumb help?
- Decide the outcome first (number of posts or of views), then divide.
- Keep at least a few slots per tier so several creators can join.
- Use caps per post in performance pools.
- Close the pool to get the unspent budget back. See Choose prices by tier.
Key takeaways
- Fee: 15% in dollars or non-SaTT tokens, 5% in SaTT.
- Fixed-reward worst case = slots × cap per post × posts per creator, per tier.
- Performance pools pay per result until the budget runs out; cap each post.
- Unspent budget comes back when you close the pool.
Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum budget?
$10 in the dollar edition. The link-first draft suggests $100 by default; in crypto the default is 100 test USDT or USDC, or 5,000 test SaTT during the alpha.
What if my budget is too small for my prices?
The editor shows “Over budget” and the amount. Lower prices or slots, or raise the budget; the draft can also reduce slots to one per network.
Is the fee refunded if I close early?
In dollars, the fee is fully refunded if you cancel before any submission, and not refunded once creators have posted. On crypto pools the fee is taken from each payout, so unspent budget comes back without fee.
