In short
Artists and labels promote a track on SaTT by paying creators per 1,000 views for short videos that use it, on TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and X. Use a performance AdPool for reach, or the new clipping template to have creators cut a music video or live session into clips. SaTT measures views, not streams.

What problem do artists face when promoting a release?
A release needs many short videos in a few weeks. Paying creators flat fees in advance is expensive and gives no guarantee of views.
How does SaTT help promote music?
- Pay per result: you set a price per 1,000 views (CPM), per like and per share, per network, with a cap per post.
- Clipping: the link-first create flow can draft a clipping campaign from a video link: clips are paid per 1,000 views and capped per clip.
- Fraud checks: sudden view spikes, view bots and duplicate captions are scored before any payout.
Which setup is recommended for a release?
| Goal | Setup | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Reach on short video | Performance pool on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube | $2.00 per 1,000 views, cap $40 per post |
| Clips of a video or session | Clipping template | Clips of 15–90 s, min 1,000 views |
| Dance or lip-sync trend | Hashtag challenge | Required hashtag + fixed price per post |
With a $500 dollar pool, $425 goes to creators after the 15% fee: at $2.00 per 1,000 views that pays up to about 212,500 measured views.
How do you set up a music campaign?
1. Paste the track or video link
On Create, paste the music video or release page and a goal such as “get creators to use our new single in short videos”.
2. Check the networks
Keep TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and X if offered; only networks the oracle can measure today are listed.
3. Set the price per 1,000 views and the cap
Set per-like and per-share prices to 0 if you only want reach; YouTube and Instagram have no share count.
4. Brief the sound and the hashtag
Name the exact sound, the part of the track to use, the hashtag and the account to mention.
5. Launch and watch the posts
Follow submissions on the pool page and review flagged posts in your Dashboard.
What should artists watch out for?
- Expecting stream counts: SaTT does not measure plays on Spotify or other services.
- Using copyrighted material you do not control: only brief creators with audio you have the rights to share.
- No cap per post: one viral video could consume the whole budget. Set a max per post.

Key takeaways
- Use a performance pool to pay per 1,000 views on short video networks.
- The new clipping template turns a long video into paid short clips.
- Always set a cap per post so one video cannot use the whole budget.
- SaTT measures views, likes and shares, not streams.
Frequently asked questions
Can SaTT pay creators per stream?
No. SaTT measures public post metrics on social networks: views, likes and shares. Streams on music services are not tracked.
Which networks work best for music?
Short-video networks: TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels, plus X. During the alpha, TikTok and Instagram metrics come from a data provider with a limited daily quota.
When do creators get paid?
Nothing is payable for 48 hours after a post’s first measurement; then up to 80% of earnings is payable, and the 20% holdback after the final check at the end of the pool.
