How to run a clipping campaign on SaTT

Turn a podcast, stream or long video into paid short clips: paste the source, set a price per 1,000 views and a cap per clip, then launch.

In short

To run a clipping campaign, open Create, paste the link of your long-form source and write a goal such as “clip our podcast into shorts”. SaTT drafts a pool paid 100% per result: a price per 1,000 views and a cap per clip, on TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and X. You review the clip rules in the brief and launch.

What is a clipping campaign?

Clippers are creators who cut short extracts from a long source (a podcast episode, a livestream, a keynote, a long YouTube video) and post them on short-form networks. Each clip that gets views earns money; clips that get no views cost nothing.

On SaTT, clipping is a template of the link-first create flow. It uses the performance reward mode only: the whole budget goes to a price per 1,000 views, with a cap per clip. Likes and shares are not priced on clips.

How do you set up a clipping campaign, step by step?

  1. 1. Paste the source link

On Create, choose Dollars or Crypto, keep “AdPool”, and paste the link of the long video or episode clippers should cut from.

  2. 2. Say it is a clipping campaign

In the goal field, write it plainly, for example “clip our podcast into shorts for TikTok and Reels”. The AI picks the clipping template from the link and the goal.

  3. 3. Check the networks

Clips can be posted on TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and X. Only networks the oracle can measure today are offered; some may carry a “Limited” badge.

  4. 4. Set the price and the cap

Edit the price per 1,000 views (your CPM) and the maximum one clip can earn. The cap protects your budget from a single viral clip taking everything.

  5. 5. Review the clip rules and launch

Check the rules shown in the brief (minimum views, clip length, required hashtags, credit line), edit them if needed, then press Launch my AdPool.

Which clip rules does the draft propose?

The draft adds a clipping box to the creator brief. The defaults are a starting point:

RuleDefaultPurpose
Minimum views1,000 viewsA clip needs real reach before it is worth paying
Clip length15 to 90 secondsFits TikTok, Shorts, Reels and X video
Required hashtagsUp to 3Makes clips easy to find and attribute
Credit linee.g. “From: <your show>”Credits the source in every caption

What does a clipping budget look like?

Example: a $200 dollar pool, $1.00 per 1,000 views, cap of $20 per clip.

  • Platform fee: 15% in dollars, so $170 is paid to clippers.
  • A clip with 8,000 views earns $8.00; a clip with 50,000 views stops at the $20 cap.
  • The $170 covers at least 8 capped clips, or many smaller ones, until the budget runs out.
  • In crypto, a pool funded in SaTT pays a 5% fee instead of 15%.

Like every performance pool, nothing is payable during the 48-hour maturation, and 20% of each clip’s earnings is held until the final check after the pool ends (the holdback).

What are the common pitfalls?

  • No cap per clip: one viral clip can use the whole budget in a day.
  • A source without clear rights: only ask for clips of content you own or are allowed to license.
  • Too many identical clips: near-identical captions across creators raise duplicate content flags. Ask clippers to pick different moments.
  • Unmeasurable networks: a network marked “Coming soon” cannot be paid; check tracking capabilities.

Key takeaways

  • Clipping = a performance pool paid per 1,000 views, with a cap per clip.
  • Write “clip … into shorts” in the goal so the draft picks the clipping template.
  • Clips can run on TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and X.
  • Always set a cap per clip; check which clip rules are shown versus enforced.

Frequently asked questions

Are likes and shares paid on clips?

No. The clipping template prices views only (per 1,000 views), so likes and shares earn nothing on a clip.

Can clippers post the same clip to several pools?

They can try, but reusing a post in another pool is flagged by the fraud checks and a post already submitted by another creator is blocked.

Which network measures clip views best today?

YouTube views come from the official YouTube Data API. TikTok, Instagram Reels and X views come from a metrics provider whose quota may be limited during the alpha, shown as “Limited”.
