In short
A gig is a fixed-price deal between one advertiser and one creator. The price is locked in on-chain escrow when the deal starts and released when the advertiser approves the delivery, automatically after a 3-day review window, or by an arbiter in a dispute. The usual 5% / 15% fee applies on release.

What is a gig, compared with an AdPool?
An AdPool is open to many creators and pays per post or per result. A gig is a one-to-one deal at a price agreed in advance, for work such as a YouTube review or a sponsored thread. Gigs live on the Gig marketplace.
| Type | Who starts it | How it begins |
|---|---|---|
| Creator offer | A creator publishes a priced service | An advertiser hires: the price is escrowed for that creator |
| Open task | An advertiser posts a funded task | The first creator to accept becomes the seller |
What are the steps of a gig?
- Hire or post: the advertiser escrows the price and sets a deadline (up to 90 days).
- Accept: the creator accepts. On an open task, the creator must then deliver within 7 days of accepting, or the advertiser can cancel and be refunded.
- Deliver: the creator submits a proof or post link before the deadline. A review window opens.
- Approve and pay: the advertiser approves and the creator is paid, net of the fee. If the advertiser does nothing for 3 days, the creator can claim the payment.
What happens if there is a disagreement?
During the review window the advertiser can open a dispute. A neutral arbiter then pays the creator or refunds the advertiser in full.
If the arbiter has not ruled after 14 days, anyone can settle the gig 50/50: the advertiser gets half back and the creator receives the other half, net of the fee on that half.
When should you use a gig instead of an AdPool?
- You want one specific creator, a custom deliverable or a fixed price.
- The work is not a measurable social post (a script, a thumbnail, a long review).
- You prefer paying on approval rather than on views.
For campaigns with many creators and paid on results, use an AdPool. See Hire a creator at a fixed price.
Key takeaways
- A gig is a one-to-one, fixed-price deal with on-chain escrow.
- Deadline up to 90 days; open tasks must be delivered within 7 days of acceptance.
- Silence for 3 days after delivery lets the creator claim payment.
- Disputes go to an arbiter; after 14 days without a ruling, a 50/50 split is possible.
Frequently asked questions
Which fee applies to gigs?
The same as AdPools: 5% when paid in SaTT, 15% in other tokens, deducted from the creator’s payment on release. Refunds to the advertiser are always in full.
Can the advertiser keep the work and refuse to pay?
Not silently. Without approval or a dispute within the 3-day review window, the creator can claim the payment. A dispute goes to the arbiter.
How do I publish an offer as a creator?
On the Gig marketplace, press “Publish an offer”, describe the service, choose the platform and price, then sign. See Sell your services with gigs.
