In short
SaTT separates three jobs: SaTT proves that a social account and a post belong to the creator, independent oracles measure the post’s numbers and sign them, and a payout signer only signs a claim from the median of agreeing reports. The oracle network is live in alpha on testnet; staking and slashing are on the roadmap, not implemented.

What is the oracle network?
An AdPool pays for real views, likes and shares, so someone has to read those numbers and vouch for them. On SaTT that is not a single service: it is an open marketplace of oracles, listed on Oracle network.
Each oracle reads public statistics from its own sources (official APIs, data providers, its own tools), signs a report with its own key and earns a fee for each report that counts. The SaTT Oracle is one member of the marketplace, not the only one.
Which three roles are involved?
| Role | Who | What it signs |
|---|---|---|
| Identity layer | SaTT | An ownership match: this wallet or account ↔ this verified account ↔ this post |
| Metrics oracles | The SaTT Oracle and registered third parties | A metrics report: views, likes, comments, shares, followers |
| Payout signer | The on-chain Oracle key | The claim the smart contract pays, only from a final value |
Identity is never delegated: oracles measure numbers, they never decide who owns an account.
How do reports become a final value?
- For each post, SaTT opens a measurement job with the signed ownership proof.
- Oracles submit signed reports.
- A report is an outlier if any metric deviates by more than 10% from the median of all reports.
- The value becomes final once enough reports agree (the quorum, 2 by default); the final value is the median of the agreeing reports.
Agreeing oracles earn their fee and reputation; outliers earn nothing and their agreement rate drops. Two diverging reports wait for a third oracle.
What is still centralized during the alpha?
- The payout signer is still a single on-chain Oracle key; the network decides what it may sign.
- In the alpha a quorum of 1 is allowed; a value measured by the SaTT Oracle alone is labelled as such.
- Staking and slashing of dishonest oracles are planned, not implemented. Today the sanctions are no fee, a lower ranking and suspension.
The path to a community-run network is described in the Oracle roadmap.
Can creators report their own numbers?
Yes, where a pool allows it. A self-signed claim opens a measurement right away and stays public, but nothing is paid until the oracle quorum verifies it, and the payout never exceeds the verified numbers.
Key takeaways
- SaTT proves ownership; oracles measure; the payout signer signs only final values.
- A final value is the median of agreeing reports; outliers beyond 10% are excluded.
- The default quorum is 2 oracles; the alpha allows 1 and labels it.
- Staking and slashing are on the roadmap, not live.
Frequently asked questions
Can anyone become an oracle?
Yes. Generate a dedicated key, register, publish your prices and poll jobs. A SaTT admin approves new oracles during the alpha. See Become an oracle.
Who pays the oracles?
Each oracle publishes a price per measurement for dollar and crypto pools; the fee is earned only for reports that count in a final quorum. Prices are shown on the oracle directory.
Can I check a payout myself?
Yes. Every payout attestation and receipt is public and can be re-verified in your browser on Verifiable payouts.
