# Hashtags and mentions in SaTT campaigns

> How brands should set hashtags and mentions in an AdPool brief, and how creators use them without copying captions or breaking the rules.

## In short

An AdPool brief can list up to 6 hashtags and 5 mentions that every creator adds to their post. Brands should keep them short and few; creators should copy them exactly with the Creator kit and write the rest of the caption themselves, because identical captions are flagged.

## How many hashtags and mentions should a brief ask for?

The link-first draft on [Create](https://satt.com/create) proposes hashtags and mentions from your site; you can edit them. The brief accepts at most **6 hashtags** and **5 mentions**. Common practice:

- One **campaign hashtag** that is unique to you, so you can find every post.
- One or two **topic hashtags** people already follow.
- The **brand account** as a mention, so viewers can find you.

Fewer required items leave creators room to write naturally. See [write a creator brief](https://satt.com/guides/how-to/write-creator-brief).

## How should creators add them?

1. Open the pool page and the **Creator kit**.
2. Press **Copy all** in “Link & tags”: it copies the link and the tags.
3. Paste them at the end of your caption, or where they read naturally.
4. Write the rest of the caption in your own words.

> **Tip:** Check the exact spelling of the mention. A typo tags the wrong account, and the brand reviewing a flagged post may refuse it.

## Can hashtags make captions look duplicated?

Shared hashtags alone are expected in a campaign. The risk is the rest of the caption: an identical caption to another creator’s post, or an almost identical one, is flagged as [duplicate content](https://satt.com/guides/glossary#duplicate-content). Don’t copy another creator’s text or paste an AI draft unchanged. More in [avoid fraud flags](https://satt.com/guides/tips/avoid-fraud-flags#original-content).

## Is #ad one of the required hashtags?

The drafts written by the Creator kit’s AI post writer include an #ad disclosure. Even when the brief does not list it, disclosing a paid partnership is your responsibility: see [disclosure and ad labels](https://satt.com/guides/tips/disclosure-ad-labels).

## Key takeaways

- A brief holds at most 6 hashtags and 5 mentions.
- Brands: one unique campaign hashtag, one or two topic tags, the brand mention.
- Creators: copy tags exactly with “Copy all”, write the caption yourself.
- Disclose paid posts, for example with #ad.

## Frequently asked questions

### Will my post be refused if I forget a hashtag?

It can be. Flagged posts go to the brand, who checks them against the brief. Copy the tags with “Copy all” to avoid mistakes.

### Do hashtags affect how much I earn?

Not directly: SaTT pays on your audience tier or on measured views, likes and shares, depending on the pool.

### Where do the draft’s hashtags come from?

The link-first create flow drafts them from the brand’s website. The brand can edit them before launch.
