## In short

Most weak campaigns come from the brief, not the budget. Say exactly what to post, give one link and a few hashtags, keep rules short, ask for an ad disclosure and match the brief to the reward mode. Creators read the brief on the pool page before they decide to join.

## What is the creator brief on SaTT?

The brief is the part of an [AdPool](https://satt.com/guides/glossary#adpool) creators read before posting: **what to post**, **do**, **don’t**, **hashtags**, **mentions** and the **link to share**. The link-first create flow drafts it from your website; you can edit every line on the review screen.

## Which brief mistakes are the most common?

1. **A vague ask.** “Talk about our brand” gives random posts. Say the format and the angle: “a 30–60 second video showing how you use the app to plan a trip”.
2. **No link, or several links.** Give one link to share. Several links split attention.
3. **Too many rules.** The draft allows up to 5 “do” and 4 “don’t” lines for a reason. Keep only the rules you will enforce.
4. **Hashtag stuffing.** Ask for 1–3 hashtags, including your brand tag. Up to 6 are allowed, but fewer read better.
5. **No disclosure.** Ask creators to label the post as paid (for example #ad or the network’s paid-partnership label). See [Disclosure and ad labels](https://satt.com/guides/tips/disclosure-ad-labels).
6. **Rules the reward mode cannot check.** A fixed-reward pool pays a validated post; it does not check that the creator said a slogan. Put must-haves in the brief and review flagged posts.
7. **Asking for the same caption.** Identical or near-identical captions across creators are flagged as [duplicate content](https://satt.com/guides/glossary#duplicate-content). Ask for each creator’s own words.
8. **Targeting networks your brief does not fit.** A long tutorial brief on TikTok or a photo brief on YouTube wastes slots. Write per-network notes if needed.

## What does a good brief look like?

- What to post: “A short video (30–60 s) showing one real use of the product.”
- Do: “Show the product on screen in the first 3 seconds. Say what you liked.”
- Don’t: “Don’t promise results or prices.”
- Hashtags: “#ad #YourBrand”. Mentions: “@yourbrand”. Link: one product URL.

See [Write a creator brief](https://satt.com/guides/how-to/write-creator-brief) for the full method and [Hashtags and mentions](https://satt.com/guides/tips/hashtags-mentions) for tagging.

## How do you check a brief before launch?

Read it as a creator who has never heard of you. If you cannot picture the post in 10 seconds, rewrite the “what to post” line. Then check that every “do” is something you would approve and every “don’t” is something you would reject.

## Key takeaways

- Say the format and the angle, not just the brand.
- One link, 1–3 hashtags, a short list of do’s and don’ts.
- Ask for an ad disclosure and for each creator’s own words.
- Identical captions across creators are flagged as duplicates.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can I edit the brief after launch?

Creators who already posted followed the version they read. Keep changes minor and fix the brief before launch on the review screen, where every line is editable.

### Does the AI write the brief for me?

The link-first flow drafts the brief from your website in 5 to 20 seconds. If it cannot read the site, you get generic copy and a notice to edit it.

### Can I reject a post that ignored the brief?

Posts flagged by the fraud checks wait for your decision. Write clear do’s and don’ts so a decision to approve or reject is easy to justify.
