# How to connect and verify your YouTube channel

## Why should you connect YouTube to SaTT?

Only posts from verified accounts can be paid. Connecting YouTube proves the channel is yours, so a video link you submit to an [AdPool](https://satt.com/guides/glossary#adpool) is matched to you and nobody else.

## How do you connect YouTube, step by step?

1. **Sign in to SaTT** — Sign in at [Sign in](https://satt.com/login) with e-mail or a social network. Signing in with **Continue with Google** already links the YouTube channel of that Google account.
2. **Open your connected accounts** — Go to [Account settings](https://satt.com/account) (or step 2 of the [creator setup](https://satt.com/onboarding)) and find the YouTube card.
3. **Connect with YouTube** — Press **Connect with YouTube**, pick the Google account that owns the channel and allow the read-only YouTube permission (`youtube.readonly`).
4. **Check the result** — Back on SaTT, the card shows **Linked @yourchannel** and the badge “Verified (connected)”. Your subscriber count appears in your setup summary.

> **Tip:** If your channel belongs to a Brand Account, choose that Brand Account in the Google account picker, not your personal profile.

## What does SaTT read from your YouTube account?

The connection is read-only. SaTT uses it to prove ownership and to read public statistics:

- Your channel id and handle, to match video links to you.
- Public numbers of your videos: views and likes. YouTube does not expose shares, so performance pools pay YouTube on views and likes only.
- Your subscriber count, for audience tiers.

SaTT never uploads, comments or likes on your behalf. Tokens are encrypted and you can disconnect at any time from [Account settings](https://satt.com/account); disconnecting deletes the access tokens.

## What if Google sign-in does not work for you?

Use a bio code. On the YouTube card choose “Can’t connect? Verify with a bio code”, enter your channel handle and press **Get my code**. Paste the code (for example `SATT-7K2Q9`) into your channel description in YouTube Studio → Customization → Basic info, publish, then press **I’ve added it — check**.
