## In short

In a fixed reward per post AdPool, a creator’s price is their followers × your price per 1,000 followers for their [audience tier](https://satt.com/guides/glossary#audience-tier), capped per post. Start from the Recommended presets (Nano from 1,000 followers at $2.00 per 1,000, down to Celebrity at $1.00), adjust caps and slots, and keep the budget coverage line green.

## How is a creator’s price per post calculated?

For each network you price, you define 1 to 10 tiers with ascending follower thresholds. The creator falls in the highest tier their **real follower count** reaches.

**Price per post = followers × price per 1,000 followers ÷ 1,000**, limited by the tier’s cap per post.

- A creator below the first tier cannot join on that network.
- The follower count is read when the post is submitted and fixes the price.
- Each validated post is paid once, in full, 48 hours after its first measurement ([maturation](https://satt.com/guides/glossary#maturation)).

## What are the recommended tier presets?

| Tier | From (followers) | Price per 1,000 followers | Price at the threshold |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Nano | 1,000 | $2.00 | $2.00 |
| Micro | 10,000 | $1.80 | $18.00 |
| Mid | 50,000 | $1.60 | $80.00 |
| Macro | 100,000 | $1.40 | $140.00 |
| Mega | 500,000 | $1.20 | $600.00 |
| Celebrity | 1,000,000 | $1.00 | $1,000.00 |

The presets are only a starting point: “Recommended” fills suggestions you can edit freely. The price per 1,000 followers decreases slightly with size because reach per follower usually does too.

## How do you set your tiers step by step?

1. **Choose Fixed reward per post** — On [Create](https://satt.com/create), pick “Fixed price per post” in the draft or “Fixed reward per post” in the advanced editor.
2. **Start from Recommended** — Keep the tiers you want to pay and remove the others with “Remove tier”. Thresholds must go up from one tier to the next.
3. **Set a cap per post** — The cap stops a creator at the top of a tier from costing too much. Example: a Micro cap of $50 means 40,000 followers earn $50, not $72.
4. **Set creator slots** — [Slots](https://satt.com/guides/glossary#slot) limit how many different creators each tier pays (0 = unlimited). Set “Max posts per creator” too (0 = no limit).
5. **Check budget coverage** — Read the coverage line: “at most X if every slot is used — within your budget” is safe. If it says more than your budget, lower slots or prices.

## What does a tier budget look like in practice?

Example: a $500 dollar pool on Instagram. The 15% [platform fee](https://satt.com/guides/glossary#platform-fee) leaves $425 for creators.

- Nano: $2.00 per 1,000, cap $15, 10 slots → at most $150.
- Micro: $1.80 per 1,000, cap $45, 6 slots → at most $270.
- One post per creator → worst case $420, within $425.

The pool ends when the remaining budget cannot pay the cheapest price. See [Budgeting an AdPool](https://satt.com/guides/tips/budgeting-adpool) for more scenarios.

## Which mistakes should you avoid?

- **Unlimited slots with an uncapped top tier**: payouts simply stop when the budget runs out, and late creators find the pool empty.
- **A first tier set too high** excludes small creators, who often have the most engaged audiences.
- **Networks without follower counts**: fixed rewards need a readable follower count, so such networks cannot be priced this way (see [Tracking capabilities](https://satt.com/guides/features/network-capabilities)).

## Key takeaways

- Price per post = followers × price per 1,000 followers, capped per tier.
- Presets go from Nano (1,000, $2.00) to Celebrity (1,000,000, $1.00).
- Slots and max posts per creator keep the worst case within budget.
- The follower count read at submission fixes the price.
- Fixed-price posts are paid in full after the 48-hour maturation.

## Frequently asked questions

### What happens if a creator’s followers drop after submitting?

In the dollar edition, if a flagged post is approved and the audience fell by more than 20%, it is re-priced with the lower count, never higher.

### Can I use different tiers on each network?

Yes. Each network has its own row of tiers, or use “Same price for all networks”.

### Is there a minimum number of followers?

Only the one you set: the first tier’s threshold. Creators below it cannot join on that network.
