# SaTT referrals: share your link, earn 5%

> How SaTT referrals work: your wallet referral link, signed one-time attribution, 5% of referees’ gross rewards, and how Quest referral tickets differ.

## In short

Your referral link is `https://satt.com/?ref=` followed by your wallet address, shown in [Account settings](https://satt.com/account) under **Referrals** once a wallet is connected. A person who opens it and connects their wallet signs once to confirm you as their referrer, and you then earn 5% of their gross rewards, accounted off-chain. Quest referral tickets are a separate mechanism.

## How does the SaTT referral program work?

The program links a new wallet to the wallet that invited it, then credits the referrer a share of the new user’s rewards.

1. You share your link: `https://satt.com/?ref=<your wallet address>`.
2. The visitor’s browser keeps the referrer address.
3. When the visitor connects a [wallet](https://satt.com/guides/glossary#wallet), SaTT asks them to sign a message confirming you as their referrer.
4. From then on, you earn 5% of the gross rewards they earn as a [creator](https://satt.com/guides/glossary#creator), accrued when their rewards are validated.

## Where do you find your referral link and earnings?

Open [Account settings](https://satt.com/account) and go to **Referrals**. The section appears when a wallet is connected. The “Refer & earn” card shows:

- your referral link with a Copy button;
- the number of people you referred;
- your accrued referral earnings, in SaTT.

## What rules protect referrals from abuse?

- **Signed attribution**: the referee must sign the attribution with their own wallet, so nobody can attach someone else’s wallet to themselves.
- **Once only**: a wallet can be attributed to one referrer, one time.
- **No self-referral**: a wallet cannot refer itself.
- **Refusal is respected**: if the visitor declines to sign, they are not asked again for that referrer.
- **Persistent accounting**: attributions and earnings are stored server-side with a de-duplication check, so a replay cannot credit twice.

## How are Quest referral tickets different?

A [Quest](https://satt.com/guides/glossary#quest) can include its own “referral” action. It does not pay a percentage: it gives [tickets](https://satt.com/guides/glossary#ticket) to the referrer when a distinct [verified account](https://satt.com/guides/glossary#verified-account) joins the Quest with their link and completes at least one action.

- Refused when both people share an IP address or a device.
- Capped per person by the organiser (10 referrals by default).
- Counts only for that Quest’s draw.

## Key takeaways

- Your referral link is satt.com/?ref= plus your wallet address.
- The referee signs once to confirm you; attribution is permanent and one-time.
- Referrers earn 5% of referees’ gross rewards, accounted off-chain.
- Self-referral is impossible and a refusal is never re-prompted.
- Quest referral tickets are separate and count only in that Quest’s draw.

## Frequently asked questions

### Do I need a wallet to refer people?

Yes for the 5% program: the link and the attribution are tied to wallet addresses. Quest referral links work with SaTT accounts.

### Can a referral be changed later?

No. A wallet is attributed once, to one referrer, after its owner signed the attribution.

### What does the 5% apply to?

To the gross rewards your referees earn as creators, accrued at validation time and shown in SaTT in your Referrals card.
