# Creator onboarding: the 4-step setup explained

Creator onboarding is a 4-step setup at [/onboarding](https://satt.com/onboarding) that opens after your first sign-in: welcome, link your social networks, choose how you get paid (dollars, crypto or both), then see your Verified creator status, your audience and up to 3 recommended AdPools. Every step can be skipped and resumed later from your account.

## When does the onboarding appear?

The setup opens automatically right after your first sign-in. If you signed in with a social network, you land on it directly; with an e-mail sign-in, it opens once per browser session.

Until you finish, a “Finish setup (n/4)” pill in the header and a “Finish setup” card with a progress percentage in [Account settings](https://satt.com/account) bring you back to it.

> **Tip:** Press **Skip for now** at any step to stop the prompts. You can still finish later from your account.

## What are the 4 steps?

1. **Welcome**: three bullets on how SaTT works and a “Link my accounts” button.
2. **Link your networks**: cards for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok and LinkedIn. “Link” runs the network’s official sign-in and brings you back to this step. The network you signed in with is already linked.
3. **How you get paid**: dollars (a balance, with test credits during the alpha) and/or crypto (connect a [wallet](https://satt.com/guides/glossary#wallet) and link it by signature). Nothing is forced.
4. **You’re set**: your [Verified creator](https://satt.com/guides/glossary#verified-creator) badge or what is still missing, your followers per network with an audience band, and up to 3 live AdPools that reward your networks.

## What happens when you link a network?

Linking uses the network’s [official connection](https://satt.com/guides/glossary#oauth), which proves you own the account and makes it a [verified account](https://satt.com/guides/glossary#verified-account). SaTT never posts for you.

- **Instagram** requires a Business or Creator account connected to a Facebook Page; the card explains it. See [Verify Instagram via Facebook](https://satt.com/guides/how-to/verify-instagram-via-facebook).
- **LinkedIn** proves your identity only: LinkedIn posts cannot be verified for participation today.
- Where the official connection is not available, “Can’t connect? Verify with a [bio code](https://satt.com/guides/glossary#bio-code)” appears for networks where the code can be checked.
- A network that is neither configured nor checkable by bio code shows “Coming soon”.

## What does the last step tell you?

The last step summarises where you stand:

## Frequently asked questions

### Can I come back to the onboarding later?

Yes. Use the “Finish setup” card in Account settings or the header pill. The setup resumes at the furthest step you reached.

### Do I need a crypto wallet?

No. Choose dollars only if you prefer. You can add a wallet later from your account.

### Why is a network marked “Coming soon”?

SaTT cannot verify that network yet: its official connection is not available and a bio code cannot be checked there.
